During a year and a half bout with Epstein-Barr and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome symptoms that made me feel as if I were sinking underwater, and kept me not only from performing but from being able to get out of bed in the morning, I turned again to acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine and found a whole new kind of relief. It rehabilitated my system, refocused my mind, and convinced me that this was a healing modality I needed to understand more deeply, one that I could study for the rest of my life.

About Christine
I first experienced acupuncture 30 years ago in a small, overstuffed office in Toronto, Ontario. I was a professional dancer hobbled with pain and I relied on my body functioning at a high level not only for enjoyment, but for my livelihood. After one acupuncture session, my pain was relieved considerably, and after several treatments the injury was no longer an issue. I was amazed by the power of this medicine and grateful for how it facilitated my recovery from this otherwise life changing injury. But it wasn’t until later when I sought treatment for immune system issues that I became a convert.
Over the years my curiosity about my own health and that of my patients has led me to study a wide range of modalities. I have certificates in Reiki, massage therapy and Bikram Yoga, and a Masters Degree from Tristate College of Acupuncture. At Tri-State I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside 2 modalities that spoke to me deeply, Dr. Janet Travel’s trigger point theory and Kiiko Matsumoto’s Japanese meridian style acupuncture. I have further training in Alexander technique, myofascial release techniques, essential oils, Mikio Sankey’s esoteric acupuncture, and in herbal medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. My Buddhist practice and coursework with the Body Wisdom Academy add an intuitive approach when combined with the hands on modalities I’ve explored. I approach my treatments the way I have my education, with a sense of wonder and adventure.

What clients are saying...

Christine is a gem… she brings warmth, caring and critical thinking to every acupuncture session. As a physical therapist, I deeply appreciate when a practitioner addresses the whole body while using excellent manual and acupuncture techniques. One leaves the session feeling changed for the better…freer, balanced, and recharged. I highly recommend her.

I came in with an elbow issue from a fall. Christine listened to the issues I was having and set out to provide a remedy. I'm not a fan of needles, but her calm energy and delicate touch provided the relief from the pain that I needed. After one session, the relief in my elbow was very noticeable. And now, after completing the treatment plan, my elbow is as good as new.

I have been seeing Christine for over 10 years now. Besides being very well educated in different techniques, she has recently helped me with recovery from a stroke that left me with some paralyzation and speech issues. I have recovered most of my functioning and feel myself getting stronger each time I see her. I spend half of my year in Vienna and the highest praise I can offer is that if I could afford it, I would fly her over here as my personal therapist. I have still not found anybody to take her place here or probably anywhere else.
